Job Summary

As a Customer Service & Operations Specialist, you will be the front-line ambassador of our company, delivering exceptional service while ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations. This role requires a highly organized, energetic, and customer-focused professional who can multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage customer inquiries, schedule service appointments, process invoices, and maintain accurate records with great attention to detail.

Communicating across multiple channels—phone, email, and in-person—you will resolve issues and support both clients and internal teams.

Success in this role demands a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with computer systems. Your positive attitude and dedication to customer satisfaction will be essential in ensuring both customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities & Duties

Responsibilities & Duties Include, but are Not Limited To:
• Serve as the first point of contact by answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and assisting customers in-store when needed.
• Handle client inquiries related to billing, services, and general concerns with professionalism and a customer-first approach.
• Prepare and manage communications such as emails, memos, invoices, reports, and estimates.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and project notes in internal databases.
• Coordinate and follow up with clients and team members on active projects to ensure timely completion.
• Support daily operations by scheduling appointments, organizing digital and physical filing systems, and maintaining store cleanliness and inventory.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure technicians have the materials they need.

• Assist management with goal setting, reporting, and occasional overtime coverage during peak times or staff shortages.
• Assist with routine financial tasks, including recording payments and preparing bank deposits

Qualifications & Skills
  • Associate or bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Business Administration, Communications or Office Administrator, Information/Computer Science, or other related degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-first mindset

Network Technician & Vendor Manager

Hours Vary Between 6:00am & 5:00pm Monday–Friday

Ocassional Weekend & After-Hours for Emergency Appointments

Job Summary

It is the job of a Computer Network Technician to tend to client computer, network, VoIP phone system, and other IT needs. This position includes both in-store, on-site, and remote work for Abts Computer business and residential clients. This includes driving to and from client’s homes and businesses in the greater La Crosse area.

The Vendor Manager portion of this job includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current partnerships in order to provide maintenance and support for services, software and products/equipment we resell to clients. The Vendor Manager is also responsible for seeking out new partnership opportunities to expand our offerings that are beneficial to our clients and business.

Responsibilities & Duties

Responsibilities & Duties Include, but are Not Limited To:

  • Travel to client homes and businesses for scheduled appointments (company vehicle is to be used)
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to computers, networking equipment, and other technology
  • Design, implement, and support IT solutions and repairs
  • Stay informed on current vendor partnerships to effectively support the services, software, and equipment we provide to clients
  • Identify and pursue new vendor partnerships to enhance our client offerings
  • Monitor and follow up on active projects to ensure steady progress
  • Communicate project updates, billable hours, and key notes to in-store staff
  • Document detailed notes on all customer and internal communications and interactions
Qualifications & Skills
  • Associate’s degree or better in Information Technology (IT)
    (IT-Networking, IT-Computer Support or Similar Degree)
  • 1+ years in Information Technology position preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-first mindset
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks independently
  • Passion for supporting others and contributing to team success
  • Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented with a collaborative work style
